- 2 non profits use this
- u.n says not economically sustainable
- 1995 started cal earth
- only thing not tested is persistent humidity
- cool in the summer
- and can have a heater
- emergency village - basic
- straw and mud plaster over bag are used to build inside
- earth cement and water
- apse - some dome connected to a bigger dome
- reptile balls - bio mimicry - smooth plaster cracks, reptile balls don't crack because the space between them they crack.
- rumi - what u fear most defines ur value
- electricity underground - running thru pipe windows
- weather fire and earthquake resistant
- Eco dome - kitchen, bathroom $9,000
- triple vault - open rectangular rooms. Khalili didn't like hallways

- Rumi dome - hagens brick factory had 50,000 reject bricks and gave it to Khalili for free. Because if the hard surface sound is like a speaker in the middle. If there weren't holes in the walls it would be deafening.
- windows huge expense - double pane
- arch makes the structure stable
- Mars 1 - Khalili worked with NASA - soil on the moon has a high Silica content, Velcro Adobe (clay coiled up in dome). used 50 lb rice queen bags in mars 1
- fill bags with earth filled with coffee cans
- brick arch making - shims hold it up
Flat ground underneath you
External elements - be aware - wind
